Food Security Assistance to IDPs, Returnees and Host Communities – Nangarhar

Project Location: Nangarhar, Afghanistan

Duration: August, 2022 – April, 2023

Project Donor: Partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) under a grant by German Foreign Ministry (AA / Auswartiges Amt)

Outcome: The food and nutrition security of women, men, girls, and boys have improved and affected vulnerable communities are better equipped to cope with shocks in Nangarhar, Afghanistan.

Output 1: Vulnerable households in areas classified as IPC 3 and above are enabled to cover individual short-term basic food and non-food needs

DHSA is responsible for successful implementation of the following activities:

Activity 1.1: Distribution of food through cash assistance to 3,250 households in Nangarhar.

Activity 1.3: Sensitization of 3,250 households in nutrition and hygiene promotion in Nangarhar.

Activity 1.4: In-kind distribution of hygiene kits to 3,250 households in Nangarhar.
